Prepare an EV service request around what is due, what has already been done and what has changed. This checklist helps you give the shop useful information without assuming that every electric BMW needs the same work.
Records and due items
- VIN, mileage and whether the vehicle is fully electric or a plug-in hybrid.
- A photo of current service reminders.
- Invoices for recent brake-fluid, filter, tire or other maintenance work.
- Any missing history you want the shop to review.
Brakes and tires
Report noise, vibration, uneven wear or changes in braking feel. Regeneration does not eliminate the friction braking system. Ask which findings call for service now and which can be monitored. For more detail, read about regenerative and friction braking on the iX.
Leaks, warnings and charging concerns
Note the location of visible fluid, the exact warning text and whether charging behavior has changed. Do not open high-voltage hardware to investigate. A current fault may require a separate electrical diagnostic appointment rather than a routine maintenance visit.
Agree on a clear estimate
